President Trump addressed supporters in Tennessee shortly after his second travel ban was blocked by the courts.
“A judge has just blocked our executive order on travel and refugees coming into our country from certain countries. The order he blocked was a watered down version of the first order that was also blocked by another judge, and should have never been blocked to start with,” said Trump.
The order was blocked by the 9th U.S Circuit Court, the same court that blocked Trump’s first travel ban.
Trump hit back at the ruling saying: “This new order was tailored to the dictates of the 9th circuit’s—in my opinion—flawed ruling. This is, in the opinion of many, an unprecedented judicial overreach.”
Trump has now vowed to take the case to the Supreme Court.
