President Donald Trump has fired the nation’s acting attorney general.

Trump accused Sally Yates of betrayal and insubordination.

This came after she publicly questioned whether his controversial travel ban affecting seven majority muslim nations was constitutional.

Yates also refused to defend the order in court, and told justice department attorneys not to defend it either.

Those instructions were quickly reversed by new acting attorney general Dana Boente.

Yates’ refusal was largely symbolic.

She was only set to be acting attorney general until the senate approves president trump’s pick for the job, senator jeff sessions.

That could happen within days.
