The impeachment circus about President Trump has generated more news coverage than any other event lately, even outdoing the coverage on the infamous Mueller Report, according to a study.

Media coverage of the attempts of the Democrat’s controlled House of Representatives to push for impeachment of the president has surpassed their coverage of the alleged Russian collusion by the Trump administration by 73 percent.

The10 most prominent news agencies combined spat out a dazzling 308,188 news items about the impeachment since Nancy Pelosi announced the inquiry on Sept. 25.

That’s an increase of 130,539 compared to the 177,649 news items formerly dedicated to the Mueller Report soap opera after the release of the report on April 18.

These findings are presented in a survey called “IMPEACHMENT, Status of public opinion and news coverage” by research institute Certus Insights published on Tuesday.

The figures get even more grotesque when we include coverage by social media, where Certus found 170,283,689 engagements with consumers, compared to 77,781,579 engagement for the Mueller report.

Another remarkable feature is the prevalence of conservative media responsible for the coverage. The report noted, “Right-leaning publications generate more engagements than the left-leaning ones. Fox News, Breitbart, and Daily Caller have collectively produced 24.7 million social engagements.”

The attacks on the president have been fierce and frequent, prompting the president to compare them to a “lynching,” as was reported on by The Epoch Times.

Trump: People Watching Impeachment Inquiry Are ‘Witnessing a Lynching’

President Donald Trump likened the impeachment inquiry against him to lynching. A description later defended by an administration official.

“So someday, if a Democrat becomes President and the Republicans win the House, even by a tiny margin, they can impeach the President, without due process or fairness or any legal rights,” Trump wrote in a statement on Twitter on Oct. 22.

“All Republicans must remember what they are witnessing here—a lynching. But we will WIN!”

Earlier in the morning, Trump referred to a poll showing responders in six battleground states opposing impeaching the president, 53 percent to 43 percent.

“I thought a very revealing poll was done by The New York Times. By about a 10 point margin, those in battleground states polled are against impeaching the President, and if Nancy Pelosi doesn’t take note of that, maybe she is the third rate politician,” Trump wrote, quoting “Fox & Friends” anchor Brian Kilmeade.
