Have you wished the people who matter to you a Happy Thanksgiving?

President Trump called military members on Thursday to wish them a Happy Thanksgiving.

From the Mar-a-Lago Resort in Florida, the commander-in-chief thanked members representing each of the five branches of the American armed services.

“Melania and I want to express our profound gratitude for the extraordinary sacrifices you make to defend our nation while you are away from your families and loved ones,” said Trump.

“I hope that you’ll take solace in knowing that all of the American families that you hold so close to your heart, they are all doing well. The nation is doing well economically better than anybody in the world,” continued Trump.

Trump notes their mission to protect American liberties abroad is worthwhile.

“It’s nice to know you are fighting and you are fighting for something that’s doing well, and that’s our country,” said Trump.

Trump began by welcoming Colonel Russell C. Burton and the 101st Airborne Division, praising the soldiers in Afghanistan.

“Our soldiers are providing invaluable aid in combined joint area operations throughout Afghanistan, you are doing an incredible job,” said Trump.
