President Donald Trump pledged to eliminate most of the Dodd-Frank financial regulations at a meeting with CEOs of large corporations at the White House on April 11.

After taking credit for creating jobs and cutting regulations, Trump told the assembled CEOs that he wanted to make significant changes to NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Act.

He said he would be lowering taxes and reducing regulations.

He singled out Dodd-Frank, the financial regulations put into place in 2010 to prevent another financial crisis such as the banks caused in 2008, which involved the entire world.

He called Dodd-Frank “horrendous” and pledged to repeal and replace it, or at the very least to eliminate most of it.
