President Donald Trump said that he may pay a visit to a rally in Washington, D.C., on Saturday.
The president said in a post on Twitter that it is “heartwarming to see all of the tremendous support out there, especially the organic Rallies that are springing up all over the country,” adding that there was a big rally to be planned in Washington, D.C.
“I may even try to stop by and say hello,” he said.
“This Election was Rigged, from Dominion all the way up & down!” the president added.
The president was referring to Dominion voting systems, which is being used in 30 states, including in the major swing states of Arizona, Nevada, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. The company recently issued a statement saying that there are “no credible reports or evidence of any system software errors in Georgia or Michigan, including erroneous reporting of unofficial results from Antrim County, Michigan.”
Supporters attending the march this weekend hail from all 50 states around the country.
Critics of the president have said that and his base simply can’t accept losing the election. But founder and organizer of the march “Stop the Steal,” Kylie Kremer, says that’s not what it’s about.
“Yes, our event on Saturday is called March for Trump. It certainly is to support President Donald Trump, but that’s not what the whole movement is about,” she said. “It’s about demanding election integrity and demanding transparency. We want to protect elections, because if we allow this to happen as a nation, then this will happen every election after us.”
Kremer said what’s been going on in the key swing states is really horrifying because she says, it puts a crack in the foundation of the country and what it’s built upon. And she said this shouldn’t be a partisan issue.
“It doesn’t matter if you’re republican, or democrat, or libertarian, or whatever your political affiliation is, you should be wanting election integrity.”
But it would seem not everyone sees it that way.
Big Tech has been censoring Kremer and the Stop the Steal movement. Facebook, Mailchimp, and even Eventbrite have stopped them from sharing this message and their events, citing misinformation and violence.
“That’s why it’s so frustrating from Big Tech especially saying that we’re spreading harmful information and inciting violence, because I don’t know what about upholding the constitution and election laws is radical or violent. Because like I said, that’s something that should follow across all party lines.”
Another organizer of the march said they are expecting over 100 thousand people at the Washington, D.C. march on Saturday. The organizer added that they’ve been told hotels in the capital are fully booked.
