President Donald Trump said that his campaign has internal polls showing the strongest numbers he’s had over his presidency, accusing the media of spreading “fake news.”

“Great cohesion inside the Republican Party, the best I have ever seen. Despite all of the Fake News, my Poll Numbers are great. New internal polls show them to be the strongest we’ve had so far! Think what they’d be if I got fair media coverage!” Trump wrote on Twitter on Aug. 19.

A day later, he added: “The LameStream Media is far beyond Fake News, they are treading in very dangerous territory!”

Trump has repeatedly criticized media outlets and the media as a whole for reporting negatively on his administration. Many outlets appear to only report negative stories about the president and his administration and some have increasingly resorted to conspiracy theories, such as the Washington Post.

Also on Monday, Trump boosted a tweet from Geraldo Rivera, a media figure who regularly appears on Fox News.

“Sad watching CNN & MSNBC waxing hopeful US economy will soon collapse. Hatred of Trump led Democrats & their allies in the permanent government to waste 2 years of America’s time with #CollusionDelusion. Now same folks are rooting for USA’s economic collapse,” Rivera wrote.

“Ratings are way down, lost all credibility. Beautiful to watch!” Trump said, sharing Rivera’s missive.

The president also shared a tweet from Brad Parscale, his campaign manager, noting that an MSNBC anchor “giddily talked about a recession this morning and even said a recession would be OK!”

Stephanie Ruhle of MSNBC said that “it’s about time” recession happens, arguing it’s a “normal part of economic activity.”

In another tweet, Trump referenced how some outlets reported that there were empty seats in the New Hampshire arena he spoke in. The fire marshal there later confirmed that Trump’s rally broke a 15-year attendance record.

If anything, the crowd size figure for Trump’s rally was low, Manchester Deputy Fire Marshal Mitchell Cady told the Daily Mail.

“Had some more snuck in during the period when we’re trying to assess the situation and get the door closed, when we’re trying to get everyone through the mags [magnetometers], then maybe it’s 11,500-plus,” he noted.

“The Fake and Corrupt Media is sooo bad for our Country, The Enemy of the People!” Trump wrote.

And the president shared a post by Jesse Watters from Fox News which showed recent cable ratings of Fox’s “The Five,” which includes Watters, hitting number one in the 18-49 and 25-54 age demographics. Four of the top five overall shows are on Fox, apart from MSNBC’s “The Maddow Show.”
