Former President Donald Trump said from his Mar-a-Lago estate that he was pleased with his team’s performance on Thursday as the Supreme Court listened to arguments in a case where opponents are seeking to eliminate him from contention for a second term in 2024.
“I listened today and I thought our arguments were very—very strong,” he said to reporters in Palm Beach, Florida. “Can you take the person that’s leading everywhere and say, ‘Hey, we’re not going to let you run’? You know, I think that’s pretty tough to do but I’m leaving it up to the Supreme Court.”
