Two Trump supporters spoke to NTD at a rally in Washington, D.C. on Dec. 12.

“We feel it deep in our heart that we need to fight for our democratic rights and we feel cheated,” one said.

“We just want to show up. We feel like this is a historical moment. And it is the time to stand and fight and defend the country that we love. If we don’t protect America, who will save all the other countries the Third World countries, if we become like them, no one will defend us. And so we want to be a part of history. We want to fight for our children and our grandchildren. So that’s what we’re here to do, is take a stand,” said another.

When asked about the Supreme Court rejecting the Texas lawsuit: “It’s heartbreaking. It’s heartbreaking, and it makes you question a lot. But I didn’t, I didn’t. I didn’t believe, I didn’t want to put any false hopes into anything. But I do think we still have a path, because I have faith. And I just think that the right side will eventually prevail. And, and I’m on the right side, and I know that we’re gonna be praying today, and we’re gonna be praying for the ones that are spreading hate. And that’s just not where we’re gonna go. We’re gonna keep the peace.”
