Supporters of President Donald Trump began lining up outside a Florida stadium to attend the president’s 2020 campaign kickoff.
The first Trump supporter started camping outside of the Amway Center at 2:30 a.m. on June 17. Seven others soon joined him.
“There’s going to be a bunch of people, and it’s going to be pretty intense,” GaryBeck, the first one in line, told WKMG. “The electricity is going to be high. It’s time for America to get back on its feet and be made better than it’s ever been before.”
The Amway Center holds 20,000 people but President Trump said on Monday morning that requests for tickets to the event reached 100,000.

Some of the supporters said they arrived early to ensure they get into the building on June 18.
“We want to make sure we could get in the building,” Maureen Bailey, one supporter, told Fox 35. “We left at 5 a.m. this morning from Ponce Inlet.”
She said that she had met many of the people in line at previous rallies.
“We have the greatest President of all time and I’m just a really big supporter of him and Melania,” another supporter said.

As of 8 a.m., about two dozen people had gotten in line, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
“This is the big one,” said Jennifer Petito, 54, of Melbourne. “This is the mother of all rallies.”
People told the Sentinel that the first 100 people in line would be in the front row at the rally.
“We came here thinking if we got here today, we’d be late,” added Ellie Salvador, 67, of Miami. “I want to get inside, not watch him on a TV screen.”

Tickets
People who get tickets are not guaranteed entry, Trump 2020 campaign National Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said.
“Orlando rally entry is on a first-come, first-serve basis, so a ticket doesn’t necessarily guarantee entry,” McEnany said in a statement to Florida Today. The tickets are free.
Trump rallies often have people standing outside, watching the rally on big televisions.
The event in Florida would continue that trend, McEnany said. “There will be screens outside the venue to watch the rally once capacity is reached,” she said.

McEnany said on Twitter that Trump supporters in the past have camped out in Wisconsin in 40-degree weather.
Trump took notice of the popularity of his campaign kickoff, writing on the social media website on Monday: “Big Rally tomorrow night in Orlando, Florida, looks to be setting records.”
“We are building large movie screens outside to take care of everybody. Over 100,000 requests. Our Country is doing great, far beyond what the haters & losers thought possible—and it will only get better!” he added.
