Truss to Russia: ‘Step Back From Ukraine’

Foreign Secretary Liz Truss warned Russia that invading Ukraine would mean massive consequences in terms of sanctions from the UK and its allies. Speaking in Sydney, she said the Kremlin “has not learned the lessons of history” and urged President Putin to de-escalate “before he makes a massive strategic mistake.” Her comments came as American and Russian top diplomats met to defuse tensions.
