Twitter CEO Backs Universal Basic Income

Late last week, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey donated $3 million dollars to a Universal Basic Income pilot program. UBI would mean everybody in the country, rich or poor, would get a fixed allowance from the government.

Advocates of the program say it would help alleviate poverty, but others say it’s just a hand-out—not a hand-up. One of those people is Damon Dunn who’s just published a great new book called ‘Punting Poverty: Breaking the Chains of Welfare.’

We caught up with him earlier today to get his thoughts.
