But the company says that his suspension was a mistake. Brown thanked supporters for their letters, saying paper mail is important amid alleged digital censorship, and also criticized Twitter in July after his tweets were given a politically sensitive label—which he thought was because of his face, which was burned in an explosion in Afghanistan—a claim Twitter denies.
