The UK and New Zealand have agreed in principle on a free trade agreement after a late-night video conference call between prime ministers Boris Johnson and Jacinda Ardern. Tariffs on 97 percent of products will be eliminated. The government hopes the deal will help the UK’s effort to join the Trans-Pacific trade Partnership. But British farmers are concerned over beef and sheep meat from New Zealand being even cheaper to the UK market.
