This week, Beijing withdrew six Chinese consular officials from the UK, a move that comes after a Hong Kong protester was dragged into the grounds of the Chinese consulate in Manchester, and beaten up. The UK government had asked Beijing to waive diplomatic immunity for those Chinese officials so police could question them about what happened. NTD spoke to chief executive of Hong Kong Watch Benedict Rogers, who says the government should have declared them persona non grata immediately.
