UK Health Secretary Pledges 15,000 New Health Workers

Health Secretary Sajid Javid revealed the government’s delayed plan to reduce the NHS waiting list, which built up to six million during the pandemic. He pledged to recruit 15,000 health workers by the end of March and eliminate waits of longer than a year for elective care. But critics say parts of the plan are not ambitious enough.
