UK Lawmakers Call For Ban of Hikvision and Dahua

A group of MPs and peers have called on the government to ban two CCTV systems made by firms linked to the Chinese Communist Party, Hikvision and Dahua. The companies are accused of playing a role in the repression of Uyghurs in Xinjiang, but reports show the cameras are in use in U.K. councils, NHS trusts, and schools, as well as government departments.
