There’s growing pressure on the government to act after a tribunal found evidence of torture, crimes against humanity, and genocide in Xinjiang. On Thursday, UK lawmakers called for additional sanctions, blacklists, and tougher anti-slavery rules to address the human rights violations. Leading the debate in Parliament, MP Nusrat Ghani said the government “has a legal and moral duty to respond.”
