The UK government has hinted that it may ban the import of goods made by forced labour in China. It follows a bill passed in the United States earlier this month banning goods made “in whole or in part” in China’s Xinjiang region. The suggestion comes as Conservative MPs urge the government to introduce similar rules, saying it’s “completely unacceptable” for UK consumers to buy goods made with Chinese slave labour.
