UK Prime Minister calls for high-rise fire inquiry

Prime Minister Theresa May has called for an investigation of the Grenfell Tower fire.

The fire started June 14 and burned almost 24 hours.

Fourteen bodies have been recovered—so far.

What we need to do is ensure that this terrible tragedy is properly investigated,” said May.

“That’s why I’m ordering a full public inquiry so we can get to the answers, we can find out exactly what happened and why it happened,” she said.

The building recently underwent an $11 million makeover.

No one knows why the fire started or why it burned so long.

Local activists had been complaining about fire hazards for years.
