On Sunday, another independent news outlet in Hong Kong, Citizen News, announced it will shut. The reason, it said, is because of the “deterioration of the media environment.” It comes just a few days after police raided the offices of a separate pro-democracy news site, Stand News, arresting their senior editors for “sedition.” Hong Kong residents here in the UK are speaking out for press freedoms in their home city.
