The United Kingdom just reported 390 deaths on Tuesday, March 31, according to multiple reports, the largest daily total so far.

As recorded by the Johns Hopkins University resource center for the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, commonly known as novel coronavirus, the United Kingdom has a total of 1,793 deaths resulting from the CCP Virus, along with 25,474 confirmed cases.

A total of 1,789 out of the 1,793 deaths are from England, according to the record.

Daily Mail reported that on Monday, the number of deaths reported was 180, a little less than half the figure stated for Tuesday.

As indicated by the news outlet, one of the victims was a 19-year-old who had no other health issues. This 19-year-old is the youngest, otherwise-healthy patient recorded in the United Kingdom to have died.

Also, this number came after the country’s governmental statisticians revealed that the actual number of deaths might be 24 percent higher. That’s if the number of people who died outside of the National Health Service (NHS) hospital system was to be included, according to Daily Mail.

The Office for National Statistics compared the recorded number of deaths between their figure and the number reported by the government. In essence, they found out that the number of deaths that occurred in the United Kingdom was 210 people up to March 20, whereas the government only reported 170 deaths by the same date.

There is a 24 percent discrepancy between the two numbers, which led the Office of National Statistics to believe that the official reported number by the government is lower than the actual amount, according to the news outlet. Taking that into consideration, the number of people who died in the UK could be 2,230.

In a statement given by the NHS England, they stated, “A further 267 people who tested positive for the Coronavirus (COVID-19) have died, bringing the number of confirmed reported deaths in England to 1,651.

“Patients were aged between 19 and 98 years old and all but 28 patients (aged between 19 and 91 years old) had underlying health conditions,” according to the statement, Daily Mail reported.

The news outlet further reported that there could very well be 1000 cases per every person who dies, as indicated by Sir Patrick Vallance, the chief scientific advisor to the government. With that in mind, if what he said is correct, that means there could be nearly 1.8 million people in the UK infected by the CCP Virus as the number of deaths in the UK has reached nearly 1,800.

However, Vallance said that despite the possible numbers, health services were still coping.
