The Foreign Office has summoned the Chinese ambassador’s deputy after a Hong Kong protester was beaten up inside the grounds of Manchester’s Chinese consulate. Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee Alicia Kearns told MPs that any Chinese official involved should be prosecuted or expelled from the UK.
