Some 200 babies and nine mothers could have—or would have—survived if an NHS trust had provided better care, an independent inquiry into the UK’s biggest maternity scandal has found. The second and final report published today said during 20 years’ time, the trust did not learn from its own inadequate investigations and tried to blame the mothers for their baby’s death.
