The U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights has concluded a six-day visit to China. It was the first trip of its kind to the country in 17 years.
The Chinese Communist regime is accused of imprisoning more than 1 million Uyghurs and other Muslim minorities in the western Xinjiang province.
What’s more, the U.S. has accused China of committing genocide.
Though Commissioner Michelle Bachelet said Saturday that her visit to China was “not an investigation.”
She insisted that her visit to China was not supervised, and said she spoke with “candor” during her official meetings.
