The daughter of the passenger dragged off a United Airlines plane condemned the company’s treatment of her father on April 13.

“What happened to my dad should have never happened to any human being, regardless of the circumstance, we were horrified, and shocked and sickened to learn what had happened to him and to see what had happened to him. We hope that in the future nothing like this happens again,” said Crystal Pepper at a press conference.

She said seeing the videos of the incident exacerbated the negative emotions.

The United passenger was confirmed as Dr. David Dao. He was forcibly removed from the plane Sunday after he refused to give up his seat on the full flight from Chicago to Louisville.

Dao’s attorney Thomas Demetrio said he suffered a broken nose, a concussion, and lost two front teeth. He will need to undergo reconstructive surgery.
