Upset flyer tries to enter cockpit of Malaysia Air jet

Malaysia Airlines avoided some more bad press on May 31.

A man apparently very upset tried to break into a jet’s cockpit during a flight out of Melbourne, Australia.

The man ranted about blowing up the plane.

Passengers and crew swarmed the man. They tied him down with seatbelts.

The flight returned to Melbourne safely.

“We believe that the actions of the passengers and crew are quite heroic,” said Victorian Police Superintendent Tony Langdon once the plane was safely on the ground. The male is now in custody, he’s a 25-year-old Dandenong man. We do believe that he suffers from mental illnesses and the investigation is ongoing in relation to that.”

Malaysia Air lost two planes in a five-month period in 2014.

Finally the airline gets some good news.
