The illegal immigration crisis at the southern border and in cities across the United States continues to grow, with individual reports of “record-breaking numbers” of illegal immigrants crossing from Mexico.
That’s according to Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies, who joined NTD to give her insight on the matter—and to explain why the number of such immigrants is still increasing.
“The message has gotten out around the world that the U.S. border is open,” she said. “If you make it across … you are going to be released into the United States.”
