In 2017, Magnolia Pictures released a documentary called “China Hustle,” a film that exposes a very long-running U.S. stock market fraud by Chinese companies.
This film highlighted one of the biggest blind points in our stock market oversight: most of the audits of Chinese companies listed in the United States are not open for U.S. inspection. With a new law enacted recently, however, the situation might be better, but more remains to be done.
