The unprecedented cyber attack on U.S. government agencies may have started earlier than previously thought, according to a senator involved in cybersecurity.

U.S. investigators initially thought the cyber attack on U.S. agencies started in March or April. But Democratic Senator Mark Warner, who serves on the Intelligence Committee, says they think it started earlier.
