The United States holds the upper hand when it comes to discussing trade with China, according to Bart Marcois, a former deputy assistant secretary of International Affairs at the Energy Department.

He spoke about U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo’s visit to Beijing. He says she needs to hold firm, as she has, on tariffs against the communist regime.
