Stabbing
New Castle Police Department officials said officers were called to a house in Union Township late Monday regarding a stabbing and arrived to find a child dead, reported WTAE.
Police said Burley stabbed the boy, who was the son of his girlfriend, following an argument that started in a car.
Police said the girlfriend escaped from the car before Burley drove her two sons to the house, where he stabbed one of them. The other one was not hurt and ran out of the house to the home of a neighbor, who called the police, reported CBS.

“Anytime there’s a victim that’s a juvenile, it’s difficult for everybody, the family, law enforcement. We don’t like to come to any of these types of calls, but whenever a juvenile is involved, of course, it makes it that much more difficult,” Trooper James Long, of Pennsylvania State Police said.
The age of the deceased child was later given as eight years old.
Burley was out on parole for a previous homicide conviction, police told WTAE. He was released from prison in March.
