The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) influence in Latin America is doing harm to countries in the region and it’s an example of the hostilities of communism at the United States’ geographic doorstep, the House Foreign Affairs Committee says.

It added the Chinese regime’s offers usually involve predatory lending and infrastructure investment that leads to more surveillance. NTD’s Kevin Hogan explores this topic more with communist subversion expert Trevor Loudon, who is also an Epoch Times Contributor, and the Author of “The Enemies Within.”

Loudon suggests the United States should reassert the Monroe Doctrine, which states that any foreign influence in the Americas is a potentially hostile act against the United States.
