GOP congress members are demanding answers about whether the United States is still buying sanctioned goods made by slave labor in communist China. According to the Uyghur Human Rights Project, the food jujube dates, often sourced from slave labor in Xinjiang Province, are widely found in American grocery stores, including in Washington.
