US Proposes Upgrade to Taiwan Weapons Package

The U.S. may be upping its Taiwan weapons package, according to a State Department notice obtained by Bloomberg.

It says Washington has proposed an upgrade valued at over $880 million—including the sale of up to a hundred of the US’s most advanced Patriot air-defense missiles as well as radar and support equipment.
