According to Freedom House, China currently runs the world’s most sophisticated and comprehensive transnational repression campaign. Between 2014 and 2021, the non-profit documented more than 200 physical attacks carried out at the direction of the CCP—far exceeding any other authoritarian regime.
The targets of those actions include ethnic and religious minorities, dissidents, human rights activists, journalists, and many others. NTD’s Sam Wang brings us more.
