US Should Take On China ‘With Friends, Not Alone’: Bandow

Under Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s rule, China is trending toward more authoritarianism and assertiveness on the global stage.

Washington is pushing back, from shoring up ties with allies to containing Beijing’s rising influence, including in its own backyard.

Doug Bandow, a senior Fellow at the CATO Institute, spoke on whether Washington will be effective in navigating the escalating power rivalry between the United States and China.
