The United States has a successful hypersonic weapon test in the books, after launching two hypersonic missiles made by Lockheed Martin.
The Pentagon made the announcement Wednesday.
The Air Force also confirmed the Tuesday test happened off of California’s coast, featuring what’s called an Air-Launched Rapid Response Weapon, or ARRW booster.
