The government confirms that the U.S. Treasury and Commerce Departments have been hacked. It’s believed the networks have been compromised for at least six months.

The FBI and a cybersecurity agency are investigating the matter. NTD spoke to FBI veteran Marc Ruskin.

“So all the income and all the financial activities of every individual in the United States and every corporation in the United States and every business or individual having activities of a financial nature in the United States, potentially has been accessed by foreign actors,” said Ruskin.

He says the reach of the hack is hard to gauge. And it’s concerning that Dominion Voting Systems used the hacked software.

“Dominion software, which impacted the recent elections, utilized the SolarWinds. So it could have it could potentially have had an effect on the outcome of the election or been instrumental in affecting the election results,” said Ruskin.

He says something this big could influence the political future of the United States and it will also add weight to any election fraud cases logged with the Supreme Court. He says the last hack that was this serious was when China hacked the Office of Professional Management a few years ago.
