Vacation Gone Wrong: COVID-19 Outbreak Strands Thousands in Chinese Tourist Hub

Over the weekend, some 80,000 tourists were stranded in Sanya, a city on Southern China’s Hainan Island famous for resorts and beaches, after authorities reported a spike in COVID-19 cases and ordered lockdown measures.
