Venezuelan Factions Set to Negotiate

Delegations from Venezuela’s regime and opposition groups will begin negotiations in Mexico City Friday. The regime wants to work on getting the United States and Europe to lift sanctions they put in place after declaring the country’s 2018 elections illegitimate. Meanwhile, the opposition wants the regime to release political prisoners, and guarantee free and fair elections.
