Venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya declared his bid for California governor. The former Facebook executive said in a tweet this week: “It’s on. Recall Gavin Newsom.”
His platform includes cutting taxes to zero percent, giving teachers a minimum salary of $70,000, and giving $2,000 for every new child born in the state.
As the campaign to recall the governor gathers more signatures, it’s attracting more and more supporters—including those who previously supported Newsom.
