Footage emerged of U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib getting removed by security from Donald Trump’s presidential campaign rally back in 2016.
While security takes her by the arm towards the exit, she can be seen jumping and yelling at campaign attendees. When she passes the one holding the camera, she yells, “You guys are crazy!”
The event took place at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan, on Aug. 8, 2016, according to the Washington Examiner. The rally was sponsored by the Detroit Economic Club. Tlaib was one of at least 14 protesters that were removed, according to M Live.
Tlaib’s Anti-Trump Stance Continues
Tlaib won the election for Michigan’s 13th district in 2018. She and Ilhan Omar became the first Muslim women ever elected to the U.S. Congress, CNN reported.
Before that, she served in Michigan’s House of Representatives, from 2009 to 2015. She lost the 2014 primary election for the Michigan Senate, according to Ballotpedia.
At the NAACP annual convention in Detroit on July 22, Tlaib told the audience “I’m not going nowhere, not until I impeach this president,” according to the New York Post.
Tlaib is notorious for her comments made on impeachment hours after being sworn into Congress.
She told the audience at a Move On campaign on Jan. 3: “because we’re gonna go in there and we’re going to impeach the mother [expletive].” She was referring to President Trump, the Post reported.
Tlaib also wrote on Twitter: “Can we please start the impeachment process now?” in the period of time after she was elected but before she was sworn into office.
The Squad
President Trump had a message for Tlaib and three other far-left members of Congress that have recently been given the moniker the “Squad.”
“The ‘Squad’ is a very Racist group of troublemakers who are young, inexperienced, and not very smart. They are pulling the once great Democrat Party far left and were against humanitarian aid at the Border…And are now against ICE and Homeland Security. So bad for our Country!” Trump tweeted on July 22.

The other members of the Squad include U.S. representatives Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Members of the Squad have also been at odds with establishment Democrats like Nancy Pelosi.
Both Tlaib and Ocasio-Cortez are members of the Democratic Socialists of America, a group that pushes socialist policies onto the American people. During her campaign, Tlaib promoted socialist style-healthcare Medicare for All and the abolishment of ICE, CNN reported.
Both Tlaib and Omar have come out against Israel and in support of the BDS movement, which seeks to bankrupt and draw support away from Israel, The Intercept reported. A public uproar caused by their anti-Israel stance has caused many to label them as Antisemites, Fox News shows. Their views have put them at odds with Jewish members of the Democratic Party and others.
Omar and Tlaib are pushing forth new anti-Israel measures in Congress. Omar, Tlaib, and Rep. John Lewis recently introduced a resolution in the House that wrongly compares Israel to Nazi Germany. It seeks to push for the United States to repress Israel through the BDS movement, Fox News reported.
“I don’t believe the four Congresswomen are capable of loving our Country. They should apologize to America (and Israel) for the horrible (hateful) things they have said. They are destroying the Democrat Party, but are weak & insecure people who can never destroy our great Nation!” President Trump tweeted on July 21.
