Warning: Video includes content that may be disturbing to some.

A video that shows adults fighting inside Disneyland has circulated widely online, prompting a witness to come forward and police to reopen an investigation into what happened.

The footage shows a black man in a red shirt repeatedly punching people around him, including women. “I’m ready to go to jail tonight,” the man yells at one point.

The fight took place on July 6 at the park, which is located in California.

Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said that detectives investigated after responding to a call but the people involved in the brawl were “uncooperative” so no arrests were made.

“Now that we have the video, detectives will be following up to see if any criminal charges can be filed,” Wyatt told the Los Angeles Times.

“Technically everyone can be charged with fighting in public, which is a misdemeanor in California,” Wyatt told People magazine. Some of the individuals may face other charges, he said.

Child endangerment charges could be brought if any children were present. In the video, children are seen watching the fight. If any of the individuals are in a relationship with someone else who was in the brawl, domestic charges could be filed.

Disneyland Resort spokeswoman Liz Jaeger told the magazine: “Any type of violence is inexcusable and will not be tolerated. Those involved were immediately removed from the premises and turned over to the Anaheim Police Department.”

Witness

A Texas resident, Jason Blair, the head football coach at Hanks High School in El Paso, said he witnessed what happened.

As the argument preceding the physical fight escalated, Blair began telling the man in the red shirt to “back off.”

He and his wife later assisted one of the women who was hit by the man.

And when the man began punching another woman, Blair and three other men intervened.

“I didn’t understand why people were recording and not helping,” he told KFOX.

One of the men made the man in the red shirt unconscious.

“When the man regained consciousness, he kept asking, ‘Who choked me out?’” Blair said. That was when the fight dissolved.

Reactions

Reacting to the video on YouTube, users had various comments.

“What kind of Mickey Mouse police force do they HAVE at Disneyland anywa [sic]…oh right,” wrote one.

“Disneyland security is definitely not trained or prepared to handle situations like this,” wrote another.

“This is how you record a fight. Steady hands and focus on what’s pertinent. Great audio and minimal unnecessary commentary,” wrote another.

“First of all Disney is expensive… why would u spend that money just to come and fight. Second, his mother didn’t raise him right smh,” added another.

“If this is what happens in the middle of Disneyland I wonder what happens at home behind closed doors. Disgusting garbage,” said another.
