Apparently, cats aren’t the only things that always land right-side-up.
There’s a new viral trend of throwing Vans sneakers to see how they end up.
A Twitter user noticed vans shoes always landed upright when throwing them on the floor.

Who knew? Vans shoes apparently always land right side up…allegedly.
Of course, others had to test out that hypothesis and the hashtag Vans challenge was born.
I had to explain to my mom why I was throwing all my Van’s on the floor at 12AM. #Vanschallenge pic.twitter.com/USwUJkpyPX

Even Steve van Doren of Vans got in on the fun.
Here he is—throwing his shoes.

They all landed sole-side down.
It turns out…Many people came to the same conclusion.
Have you heard about the #VansChallenge? Apparently whenever you throw Vans shoes in the air they will always land on their sole. Soooo @AmakaUbakaTV and I had to test this claim. pic.twitter.com/RpuvIDsWU4

my brother works at vans and he can confirm
the reason why they land like this is because vans’ shoes have heavy soles – according to him pic.twitter.com/G6etKzmUDj
