Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has questioned the U.S. government’s official narrative on the 9/11 terrorist attacks in an interview with Blaze TV on Aug. 1.

Mr. Ramaswamy told host Alex Stein he is in disbelief about the findings of the 9/11 Commission as to what occurred in the terrorist attacks.

“I don’t believe the government has told us the truth. I’m driven by evidence and data. What I’ve seen in the last several years is we have to be skeptical of what the government does tell us,” Mr. Ramaswamy said.

“I haven’t seen evidence to the contrary, but do I believe everything the government told us about it? Absolutely not. Do I believe the 9/11 Commission? Absolutely not,” he added.

Despite not suggesting the United States was complicit in the attacks, Mr. Ramaswamy went on to say afterward on social media that his comments alluded to the Saudi Arabia government’s explanation of the attack after Blaze TV shared excerpts of the interview online.

“Do I believe our government has been completely forthright about 9/11? No. Al-Qaeda clearly planned and executed the attacks, but we have never fully addressed who knew what in the Saudi government about it. We *can* handle the TRUTH,” he said.

Ramaswamy has made getting rid of the ‘Deep State‘ a focal point of his campaign, akin to Republican leader and former President Donald Trump, the Washington Examiner reported.

He has sparked curiosity and attention through multiple TV and media appearances, where he proposed ideas such as raising the voting age to 25 under certain conditions.

Mr. Ramaswamy has also suggested that the ‘Deep State’ would not allow President Joe Biden to run if he were to be nominated as the presidential candidate by the Republican party, according to Politico.

Currently in third place according to RealClearPolitics, Mr. Ramaswamy’s main focus is to advance the “America First” agenda. He is an active proponent of government transparency, as well as transparency from associated organizations and agencies.

In addition, he also backs the pardoning of Mr. Trump if found guilty of federal criminal charges.

Ramaswamy is a Bio-tech business leader from Ohio and the author of several books, including “Woke, Inc.: Inside Corporate America’s Social Justice Scam” and “Nation of Victims: Identity Politics, the Death of Merit and the Path Back to Excellence.”
