The Golden State Warriors’ co-owner Chamath Palihapitiya said last Saturday in a podcast on Twitter when a recent U.S. ban on products from Xinjiang over forced labor was brought up. “Nobody cares about persecuted Uyghurs in China.” This clip drew wide attention and criticism. Boston Celtics center Enes Kanter wrote on Twitter, “When genocides happen, it is people like this that let it happen.”
