The Energy Department has announced plans to put solar panels on the Pentagon. Stephen Bryen, a leading expert in security strategy and technology at the Center for Security Policy, told NTD that the plan would be a “waste of hundreds of millions of dollars of taxpayer money” for something that is not needed and that would not help the Pentagon in any respect.
He also pointed out the high probability that most of the parts of such panels will likely be made in or sourced from China—despite the Biden administration’s Made in America policy, which promises to maximize the use of goods, products, and materials produced in the United States.
