With access to a good lathe there’s a lot that can be accomplished, and in this video we check out what appears to be the construction of an automotive crankshaft out of a solid beam of metal.
The automated process slowly shaves away pieces of metal until the beam looks more and more like the finished product before getting smoothed out and taking shape as the crankshaft that the creator had in mind when they looked at this solid slab.
