‘We Can’t Wait for Big Tech to Do This’: ScreenStrong Advocate Says Families Can Act to Make Children Safer Online

Melanie Hempe started an organization called ScreenStrong to address the growing needs of families navigating the challenges of children’s and teens’ safety online.

She told NTD that while she does welcome change from the top down, parents can’t wait for social media companies to make those changes. Her comments come after a Senate hearing on Wednesday with social media executives that addressed the sexual exploitation of children online.
